Every Momma has a day where they just need a little chocolate cake to make them smile. This cake, with a blend of coffee liqueur and semisweet chocolate chips, is a cake meant to be an adult's only indulgence for after children go to sleep. (Trust me, you may even want to wait until your partner goes to bed too, it's that good)
Here's The Recipe:
For whipped cream, in a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form.
Place bottom cake layer on a serving plate; top with half of the chocolate mixture. Repeat layers. Top with the remaining cake layer. Frost top and sides of cake with whipped cream.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Yield: 16 servings.
